Prosocial AI and Communication Technology Lab
Prosocial AI and Communication Technology Lab
The Prosocial AI and Communication Technology (PACT) lab studies how emerging communication technologies, such as AI and social media, shape social connection, prosocial behavior, and well-being. We examine the psychological, socio-technical, and interpersonal processes behind these effects and develop interventions that facilitate healthier and safer technology-mediated and technology-human interactions. We seek to inform the design of communication technologies that better support connection, care, and human flourishing.
